It is going to be hot and humid today. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts hot and humid weather in numerous districts of Odisha.
The IMD predicts that hot and humid conditions will prevail in one or two locations in the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack, and Jajpur.
The IMD projected terrible heat and humidity in the aforementioned districts on Thursday, with heatwave conditions expected to worsen in Sambalpur and Jharsuguda by Friday.
The IMD has also forecast an increase in temperature across the state in the following days.
Residents should stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to heat, and take frequent breaks in cool, shady areas.
Meanwhile, the regional meteorological office forecasted that numerous cities, including Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, and Titlagarh, will have a maximum temperature of 40°C.
By May 9, temperatures in these cities, along with Deogarh, Nayagarh, and Angul, are expected to exceed 41 degrees Celsius.
