On Tuesday, the mercury is expected to climb steadily across Odisha as a yellow warning for rain and thunderstorms with lightning and gusty surface wind is issued in Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Gajapati, Ganjam, and Nayagarh districts.
Today, thunderstorms with lightning and gusty surface wind speeds of 30-40 kmph may occur in one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, and Jharsuguda districts.
Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are also expected in coastal and South Interior Odisha, as well as a few other districts in the state.
While there will be no significant weather changes in Odisha over the next two days, the day temperature (maximum temperature) is expected to rise by 2°C-3°C during the following three days, according to the weather office.
