The meteorological department’s forecasting suggests that most places in Odisha will likely see hotter days in the coming days. The weather office reports that over the next three days, most locations in the state will see maximum temperatures (3°C–4°C) that are uncomfortable due to the change in temperature.
The India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional center has predicted that temperatures may rise to 40°C in a number of locations. In contrast, at the start of April, the minimum temperatures, or nighttime temperatures, will likewise increase by 2°C to 3°C.
The day temperature is likely to touch 40°C in Bolangir, Titilagarh, Sundargarh, Malkangiri, Boudh, Angul, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bhavanipatna, Rayagada, and Gajapati tomorrow, the weather office warned.
On the other hand, some districts in northern Odisha will experience Kalbaisakhi during the next four to five days. The IMD has issued a yellow warning for light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Jajpur today.
The storm’s speed will be 30 to 40 kmph during the Kalbaisakhi, the MeT has warned. The Kalbaishakhi will prevail in these regions from Friday to Tuesday. Barring north coastal Odisha, the weather will remain dry in the remaining districts of Odisha.
