Odisha is set to see contradictory weather conditions over the next week. While the regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar has issued yellow alerts for rain and thunderstorms in various districts over the next three days, scorching conditions are set to return to the state this week. The daytime temperature (highest temperature) is progressively rising by 2°C to 3°C throughout the state.

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few places in south Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of north Odisha.
YELLOW WARNING (BE UPDATED): Thunderstorms with lightning accompanied by gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph and heavy rainfall are very likely to occur at one or two places in Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, and Kandhamal.
