On Tuesday, the India Meteorological Department predicted heavy rainfall in most regions of Odisha for the next four days.
For today, the IMD projected severe rainfall (7 to 11 cm) in one or two locations in the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Bolangir, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Boudh, Nayagarh, Puri, Khurda, and Bargarh.
The weather forecast for July 24 predicts strong to extremely heavy rainfall (more than 11cm) in isolated sections of Bargarh, Boudh, Sonepur, and Sambalpur districts. Furthermore, severe rainfall (7-11cm) is expected in areas of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Nayagarh, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, and Kendrapara.
The IMD’s July 25 forecast predicts heavy to very heavy rainfall in Kendrapara, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, and Angul, as well as heavy rain in Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Jajpur, Sambalpur, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar.
On July 26, the weather office predicts severe rainfall (7-11cm) in isolated regions of 13 districts, including Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri.
According to the regional weather office, substantial rainfall (7 to 11 cm) is expected on July 27 in one or two locations in the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, and Jharsuguda.
On July 28 and 29, the IMD projected that mild to moderate rain/thundershower would occur in various areas in Odisha.
