The MeT department in Bhubaneswar has issued thunderstorm and lightning warnings for the next three days throughout Odisha, beginning June 2. The forecast indicates that the weather will be clear on June 2.
No warning was provided from day one till 08.30 hours on June 2. On June 3, the districts of Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri will receive a yellow alert.
A gusty surface wind speed of 30-40 kmph has been issued for the second day, from 08.30 hours on June 2 to 08.30 hours on June 3.
Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Rayagada, Gajapati, Koraput, and Malkangiri have been given a yellow alert for thunderstorms and lighting on day 3 from 08.30 hours on June 3 to 08.30 hours on June 4. A gusty surface wind speed of 30-40 kmph will prevail.
