The Regional Meteorological Centre in here predicts thunderstorms and gusty surface wind in several districts of Odisha today.
“Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Bhadrak,” the Meteorological Centre predicted.
“Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati and Koraput,” it added.
Temperature Forecast: The maximum temperature (day temperature) is expected to fall by 2-3°C in many places across Odisha over the next three days, with no significant change thereafter. During the next three days, the maximum temperature (day temperature) is expected to be more than 40°C and 2 to 3°C above normal in the districts of Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Sonepur, Bolangir, and Boudh.
