Winter chill is gradually setting in across Odisha, with minimum temperatures (night temperatures) decreasing noticeably across the state, according to the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional center here.
The night temperature in some parts of the state is forecast to drop by 2°C to 3°C over the next two days as a result of dry and chilly winds blowing from the north and northwest. The weather is expected to be colder in Koraput, Rayagada, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, and Rayagada districts in interior Odisha, according to the IMD.
Odisha’s Koraput, Kandhamal, and Sundargarh are already experiencing cooler nights.
While there is no chance of rain until November 14, the night temperature has dropped by 1°C – 2°C in several regions and is expected to dip by 2°C to 3°C in the next two days. According to the IMD, the minimum temperature may decrease even lower after November 14.
Dense fog can also be seen in some areas. Several portions of Bhubaneswar’s capital city were spotted blanketed in thick dense fog early Thursday morning.
