Weather scientist Uma Shankar Das announced on Thursday that temperatures in Odisha will rise beginning April 20.
Das noted that the peak temperatures in several sections of the state are currently below 40°C due to the influence of the nor’wester (Kalbaisakhi). However, he stated that this pattern is likely to shift in the following days.
The expert also stated that the influence of rainfall is expected to fade over the next three days, resulting in an increase in daytime temperatures.
As the weather pattern shifts, temperatures in the state’s interior may rise beyond 40°C.
This change in climatic conditions may raise the likelihood of heatwaves in various places.
The public is reminded to take all essential precautions to keep safe as temperatures rise.
