Two low-pressure systems are likely to emerge over the Bay of Bengal: one on September 23 and the other on September 26. On September 27, the second low-pressure system may intensify into a depression and cross the Odisha coastline. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that this weather system would bring widespread heavy rainfall to the state.
According to the forecast, rainfall activity under the influence of low pressure is projected to increase on September 27 and 28, with the northern portions of the state likely to be most affected. The second low-pressure system is expected to proceed west-northwest and then pass across central India.
According to the forecast, this weather system is predicted to produce widespread heavy rain to the state, particularly between September 25 and October 1.
The continuing rainfall may cause water levels in numerous rivers in North Odisha to rise, especially the Mahanadi River basin.
