The Bhubaneswar office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted dry weather in most parts of Odisha for the next five days on Sunday. At the same time, the state’s minimum (night) temperature is unlikely to change significantly in the coming days.
According to the IMD bulletin, the cyclonic circulation over Chhattisgarh and its surroundings has become less prominent at 0.9 km above mean sea level.
Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed over the districts of Odisha, with shallow to moderate fog forming in one or two places over the interior districts of Kalahandi, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj. The minimum temperatures fell noticeably in one or two districts of north coastal Odisha, while no significant change was observed elsewhere in the state. They were significantly above normal in one or two districts of interior Odisha, significantly above normal in a few districts of interior Odisha, significantly above normal in a few districts of coastal Odisha, and significantly below normal in one or two districts of interior Odisha.
Malkangiri had the highest maximum temperature of 36.5°C and the lowest minimum temperature of 14.5°C was recorded at Sundargarh in the plains of Odisha.
For the next 24 hours, the IMD predicts fog/mist in the morning and mostly clear skies later for Bhubaneswar and surrounding areas. The highest and lowest temperatures are expected to be around 32°C and 19°C, respectively.
