The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts heavy to very heavy rainfall in one or two locations in the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Nawarangpur, and Rayagada.
Heavy rainfall is also expected in some areas of the Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, and Bolangir districts.
According to the weather forecast, thunderstorms and lightning are extremely likely to occur in one or two locations in the districts of north interior Odisha, Sonepur, Boudh, and coastal Odisha.
The IMD regional center’s twin-city prediction predicts one or two periods of rain or thundershowers in Bhubaneswar. Meanwhile, Cuttack is anticipated to have moderate rainfall and thunderstorms.
The seasonal cumulative rainfall from June 1 to July 15, 2024 was 259.6 mm, compared to the typical figure of 357.4 mm.
