Moderate rainfall/thundershower, with one or two spells of intense to heavy rain, is very likely to occur in some parts of Nuapada and Bargarh districts within the next three hours, according to a nowcast warning issued by the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional centre at 10:30 a.m.
The weather agency has issued a ‘Orange’ warning for the aforementioned districts. The agency predicts waterlogging in low-lying areas, occasional poor visibility, and traffic disruption in urban areas.
It has also recommended people to keep an eye on the weather and prepare accordingly.
People have been further advised to avoid movement in affected areas and make arrangements for the drainage of excess water.
