The regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here has forecast hotter days for Odisha over the next 48 hours. The day temperature (maximum temperature) in most parts of the state will be 2°C-4°C above normal, according to the weather office.
Rain is expected in several parts of the state in the afternoon, providing some relief to residents. Due to western disturbances, the state will continue to experience sporadic rains. Many districts in Odisha will see light to moderate rain until April 7, with more rain expected on April 8.
Meanwhile, the IMD has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms and rain in 12 districts across Odisha’s south, coast, and interior. The weather in Bhubaneswar’s capital city and surrounding areas will be dry.
