With the lowered FAME II subsidies taking effect on June 1, Ather has launched its entry-level 450S beginning at Rs 1.30 lakh, without state subsidies. Reservations for the 450S will open in July.
Entry-level Ather 450S: What is it?
Ather is keeping quiet about the new 450S and hasn’t revealed much specifics about the new trim. According to the company’s literature, the 450S is powered by a smaller 3kW battery pack than the 450X, which has a 3.7 kWh lithium-ion battery. As a result, the 450S has a range of 115 kilometers on a single charge. It will be less in real-world situations because the business has stated that the 450X’s approved range is 146km while the reality range is 105km.
Despite having a 20% shorter range than the 450X, the 450S has the same top speed of 90 kmph. Ather has not yet published 0-40kmph data. As expected, the 450S would have less features than the 450X models.
