The sequel to OMG, featuring Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam, was launched in theaters today. Fans quickly expressed their views to the new film on social media platforms; while some were delighted with Akshay Kumar’s ‘courageous’ film choices, others were pleased to see a mainstream film addressing themes such as sexual health.
OMG 2 is a sequel to Oh My God, which starred Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar. In the initial film, Akshay played Krishna, but in the sequel, he was scheduled to play Shiva, but this was eventually altered to the part of God’s messenger.
Notably, the censor board granted the picture a ‘A’ (Adults Only) rating, and around 13 minutes of the film were removed. According to an E-Times article, OMG 2 has been granted a 12A certificate in the UAE. A 12A certificate indicates that children over the age of 12 may view the film.
