One thousand buses will go to Puri for the world-famous Rath Yatra, Odisha Transport Commissioner Amitabh Thakur announced on Friday.
According to reports, the Transport Commissioner stated that 1,000 buses will travel to the Puri dham during Rath Yatra 2025.
All of these buses will include drinking water as well as first-aid medical services for passengers. In addition, there will be a checking squad and a CCTV system on the buses to avoid overcrowding and theft.
Aside from that, wheelchair and e-rickshaw facilities will be available at the bus terminal for the disabled and senior citizens, according to the Transport Commissioner.
According to sources, the Transport Commissioner, the State Private Bus Owners Association, and the Puri District SP had a joint meeting to discuss this.
