The Oppo A3 5G was officially released in India on Monday. The smartphone will have a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 CPU with 6GB of RAM. This is Oppo’s latest inexpensive A-series smartphone.
Oppo A3 5G Specifications
The A3 5G has a huge 6.67-inch HD+ LCD display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 1,000 nit. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, which is a mid-range processor with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
In India, the phone is available in only one memory configuration: 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM with virtual RAM extension and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. It runs ColorOS 14.0.1, which is based on Android 14, out of the box.
The A3 and A3x differ primarily in their rear camera setups. The A3 features a single 50MP primary sensor with autofocus and an LED flash with increased brightness for better low-light performance. The front-facing camera for selfies is located in a punch-hole cutout and utilizes a 5MP sensor.
The A3 5G has an ample 5,100mAh battery for longer use and supports Oppo’s 45W SUPERVOOC rapid charging technology. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It’s worth mentioning that, unlike the worldwide variety, the Indian model lacks NFC capabilities.
The phone prioritizes durability, with military-grade shock and liquid resistance for added peace of mind. Security features include an in-display fingerprint sensor and facial recognition unlocking. The A3 5G weighs 187 grams and has a tolerable thickness of 7.7mm.

In India, the Oppo A3 5G is available in a single memory combination (6GB + 128GB) and two colors: Ocean Blue and Nebula Red. The device costs ₹15,999 (about $190) and can be purchased directly from the Oppo India website.
