The schedule for the 2024 Civil Services Preliminary Examination has been made public by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC). In accordance with Advt. No. 07 of 2024-25, the Commission has decided to hold the Odisha Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination-2024 on Sunday, October 12, 2025, in continuation with Office Notice No. 3207/PSC, dt-15.05.2025. OPSC CSE Prelims 2024 Exam Pattern
OPSC CSE Prelims 2024 consists of two compulsory objective-type papers, i.e., General Studies Paper 1 and General Studies Paper 2, carrying 200 marks each. Candidates will be allotted 2 hours to complete the examination.

Qualification Criteria for OPSC CSE Main Examination
“The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination by the candidates who are declared qualified for admission to the Main Examination shall not be counted for determining their final order of merit. The number of candidates to be admitted to the Main Examination will be as possible but not more than 12 times the total number of vacancies to be filled in the year through this examination,” the detailed notification stated.
Based on the minimum passing score of 33% in General Studies Paper-II and the total qualifying score of General Studies Paper-I of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, the Commission will compile a list of eligible applicants for the Civil Services (Main) Examination.
