.The song ‘Naatu Naatu,’ starring Ram Charan and NTR Jr from the film ‘RRR,’ won Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards.
Leaving behind names like Lady Gaga, Diane Warren, and Rihanna, ‘Naatu Naatu’ made history after competing against songs like ‘Applause’ from ‘Tell It Like a Woman,’ ‘Hold My Hand’ from ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ ‘Lift Me Up’ from ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,’ and ‘This Is a Life’ from ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once.
It was an Indian film’s second win, following The Elephant Whisperers, which won Best Documentary Short Subject. All That Breathes was also nominated for Best Documentary Feature Film, with Navalny winning the award.
‘Everything, Everywhere, All at Once,’ presented by Harrison Ford, was nominated for Best Picture alongside ‘All Quiet on the Western Front,’ ‘Avatar: The Way of Water,’ ‘The Banshees of Inisherin,’ ‘Elvis,’ ‘The Fabelmans,’ ‘Tar,’ aTop Gun: Maverick,’ aTriangle of Sadness,’ and ‘Women Talking.
The entire cast and crew were on stage to accept the golden statuette.
