Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to hold a roadshow in Bhubaneswar on June 12 evening to acknowledge the people’s verdict for his party in the 2024 General Elections.
The roadshow is scheduled to commence from Jayadev Vihar and conclude at Janata Maidan prior to the oath-taking ceremony of the newly appointed Chief Minister of Odisha, as per insiders in the party’s state unit. In less than a month, this will be Modi’s second roadshow in the capital of Odisha.
To allow the Prime Minister to attend the major event, BJP leaders in this area moved the new Chief Minister’s oath-taking ceremony from June 10 to June 12. Additionally, the party moved the date of its legislative party meeting from June 10 to June 11 when it the MLAs are likely to elect their leader in the Assembly.
The BJP will form its first government in Odisha as it won 78 of the 147 Legislative Assembly seats in the recently concluded elections. In addition, the saffron party won 20 out of the 21 Lok Sabha seats of the state.
