A state-level preparatory meeting was conducted at Lok Seva Bhavan, led by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, to review plans for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bhubaneswar on September 17th. The Prime Minister will launch the ‘Subhadra’ plan, a state government welfare initiative, at Janata Maidan.
The meeting was attended by senior authorities like as Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Home Department Secretary Satyabrat Sahu, DGP Y.B. Khurania, BMC officials, and Khurdha Collector, among others. Shubha Sharma, Principal Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department, updated the meeting on the scheme’s upcoming rollout.
The State Administration is making great preparations for the event, which is expected to attract a large throng. The Chief Secretary evaluated the arrangements and emphasized departmental coordination. The DGP and IGP will be in charge of law and order, while the District Collector would manage other arrangements.
The chief secretary asked the competent authorities to provide continuous power supply with additional generators, security, carcade, and hospital arrangements, drinking water supply, temporary housing for the PM, road maintenance, sanitation, and cleanliness.
Directions were also issued for emergency preparation and barricading, LED lights at various spots for public observation, mobile toilets, and bio-toilets along the highways.
The Information and Public Relations Department will offer the media with a single feed system for the live transmission of the program.
The State Department of Home Affairs (Protocol) will make a control room available to provide further information about the Prime Minister’s visit.
On September 17, the Prime Minister will arrive at Bhubaneswar Airport at 11:35 a.m., attend the program at Janata Maidan at 11:55 a.m., and travel back to New Delhi at 3 p.m.
