Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Odisha on May 6, ahead of the state’s first phase of elections on May 13.
Modi will address a public gathering in Nabarangpur to support the party’s candidates for the four Lok Sabha constituencies of Nabarangpur, Berhampur, Koraput, and Kalahandi, as well as the 21 Assembly constituencies that fall under them.
The Prime Minister will also undertake a roadshow in Nabarangpur with the party’s Lok Sabha and Assembly candidates.
Modi’s visit to the region assumes significance as the BJP is keen to win as many seats possible from Odisha this time. In an interview with a national news channel a few days back, the Prime Minister had said, “As Odisha is endowed with rich mineral resources it should be India’s No 1 state, but see where it is today. It is time that people gave BJP a chance in Odisha.”
It is worth mentioning here that BJP president JP Nadda had campaigned for the BJP candidates in Sonepur last week.
