Earlier today, PM Modi arrived in Male and was received at the airport by Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. This warm reception reflected the strong and longstanding diplomatic ties between India and the Maldives, highlighting their close bilateral relationship.
PM Modi’s two-day State Visit to the Maldives, from July 25 to 26, 2025, is at the invitation of President Muizzu. This marks PM Modi’s third visit to the Maldives and the first foreign trip by a head of government during Muizzu’s presidency, signaling strengthened cooperation.
