3. Participation of freedom fighters’ families
27 trains were flagged off by family members of freedom fighters from the originating stations. The historical facts about the trains were depicted on the trains for the benefit of citizens, particularly the younger generations.
4. The Prime Minister calls for school visits
In Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister urged students and teachers to visit the nearby historical railway stations, known as ‘Azadi Ki Rail Gadi Aur Stations.’ He asked the teachers to take the small children to these stations and explain the patriotic events that had occurred.

Photo exhibitions and selfie spots have been set up at all 75 railway stations in the backdrop of ‘Azadi Ki Rail Gadi.’ The family members of the freedom fighters were asked to share their stories about the stations during the closing ceremony of this week-long iconic event.
