In a momentous virtual event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed out approximately 51,000 appointment letters to recently recruited individuals across 46 locations nationwide. The Rozgar Mela, organized by the Prime Minister’s Office, showcased the government’s commitment to bolstering employment opportunities.
Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Modi lauded the new appointees and emphasized the government’s dedication to empowering women through progressive policies. He highlighted the significance of the recently enacted ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ (Women’s Reservation Bill) in advancing gender equality.
The Prime Minister celebrated the transformative role women have played across various sectors, infusing fresh vitality. He affirmed the nation’s resolve to achieve developed status by 2047, citing the exemplary achievements of India’s daughters in fields ranging from space exploration to sports. Additionally, he projected India’s ascent to becoming the world’s third-largest economy in the near future.
The Rozgar Mela event encompasses recruitment in diverse Ministries and Departments, including the Department of Posts, Indian Audit and Accounts Department, Department of Atomic Energy, Department of Revenue, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Defence, and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The Prime Minister’s Office stated that the recruitment drive spans central government departments, state governments, and Union Territories. The Rozgar Mela stands as a testament to the Prime Minister’s unwavering commitment to prioritizing job creation. It is poised to catalyze further employment opportunities, enabling the youth to actively engage in national development.
Through ‘Karmayogi Prarambh,’ an online module on the iGOT Karmayogi portal, over 680 e-learning courses are available for flexible, device-independent learning. This initiative offers newly appointed personnel the chance to equip themselves with essential skills.
Rozgar Mela Inception
On October 22, 2022, they launched the ‘Rozgar Mela’ initiative, signaling the commencement of a campaign to generate 10 lakh government jobs. In August of the same year, Prime Minister Modi personally handed out over 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited individuals. Notably, the Ministry of Home Affairs facilitated recruitment across various central armed police forces, including CRPF, BSF, SSB, Assam Rifles, CISF, ITBP, NCB, as well as the Delhi Police.”
