Poco has released the new Poco X7 and Poco X7 Pro in India. The smartphones ship with HyperOS out of the box, which is based on Android 15 and features a 50 MP main sensor. Both devices debuted as mid-range smartphones, with pricing beginning at Rs 23,999.
Poco X7 5G: Specifications and features
The Poco X7 5G runs Xiaomi’s HyperOS on Android 14 and features a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, an exceptional peak brightness of 3000nits, an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and an instantaneous rate of 2560Hz. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
It ships with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chipset, which is based on a 4nm TSMC technology. It comes equipped with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.
The phone has a 5,500mAh battery with 45W TurboCharge capability. The technique is said to charge completely in just 47 minutes.
The Poco X7 5G’s camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS and EIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view, and a 20-megapixel selfie camera. It can record videos at up to 4K resolution and 30 frames per second.
The gadget is set to receive three years of Android upgrades and four years of security patches. The Poco X7 has IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, indicating that it can withstand dust and water exposure. ToeV Rheinland certifies additional durability for low blue light and flicker-free viewing.
The connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.3, and USB Type-C. The remaining features include dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos round out the multimedia experience.
Poco X7 Pro: Specifications and features
The Poco X7 Pro, the more feature-rich model, has a larger 6.73-inch flat AMOLED display with up to 1.5K resolution, a peak brightness of 3200 nits, an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 7.
The phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra processor with a clock speed of 3.25 GHz. Storage-wise, the gadget has LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
The Pro variant comes equipped with a 6,550mAh silicon-carbon battery with solid electrolyte technology. It features 90W HyperCharge, allowing for a complete charge in just 47 minutes.
It features a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor with OIS and EIS, as well as a secondary 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens in the rear. It comes with a 20-megapixel selfie camera on the front, with video recording at up to 4K 60fps.
Operating on Xiaomi HyperOS based on Android 15, the Poco X7 Pro offers the same update promise as its sibling.
Pricing and availability
The Poco X7 is available in two RAM and storage variants: 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB, each priced at Rs 23,999 and Rs 25,999, respectively.
The Poco X7 Pro 5G, on the other hand, has a single and higher RAM and storage option: 12GB + 256GB, which costs Rs 32,999.
The phones will be sold at both the Xiaomi store (as the Poco website has been discontinued) and third-party stores. There’s also a special Poco X7 Pro Ironman Edition featuring a 3D Avengers logo on the back and a nice retail box.
