President Droupadi Murmu will begin a two-day visit to Odisha today. Her schedule includes praying to Lord Nilamadhab in Kantilo, Nayagarh district, and attending a Bharatiya Biswabasu Sabar Samaj function in Kaliapali hamlet.
According to sources, the President would arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at 1:30 p.m. today and then travel to Kantilo by helicopter. After arriving in Kantilo at 2:10 p.m., President Droupadi Murmu will rest for 30 minutes in the Circuit House before visiting the Nilamadhab Temple. After seeing the temple, she would travel by road to Kaliapali village.
Tight security precautions have been planned for the President’s arrival, with five helipads prepared and a considerable number of police officers deployed.
The President’s visit has sparked widespread excitement in the region, with the Nayagarh district administration making elaborate preparations for her schedule.
The Governor of Odisha, Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and Speaker of the Assembly, Surama Padhy, will also attend the event. The President will depart for New Delhi tomorrow morning, concluding her two-day visit to Odisha.
