President Droupadi Murmu, who has been in office for a year, will begin a three-day visit to her home state of Odisha on Tuesday ( 25th July)
The President is slated to arrive in Bhubaneswar on tuesday around 6.10 p.m. from Delhi and reach at Raj Bhavan at 6.30 p.m. Officials said she’ll be in Cuttack on Wednesday. On July 27, she will return to Delhi.
She will meet with the medical student beneficiaries of Atut Bandhan for half an hour at the Raj Bhavan.
The Atut Bandhan family is a forum where people from all walks of life come together to help needy medical students financially. Atut Bandhan, a non-profit organization, is assisting 52 students from various medical institutes in the state
On Wednesday, she will pray at the Chandi Temple and visit the residence of Utkal Gourab Madhusudan Das, where she will pay floral tribute to his monument.
According to the official, the president will also visit Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s birthplace and the Netaji Museum in the millennial city.
On Wednesday, Murmu will attend the valedictory event of the Orissa High Court’s 75th anniversary celebrations in Cuttack and address the annual function of SCB Medical College and Hospital. On the same day, she would attend the convocation of National Law University, Odisha.
Before returning to the national capital on Thursday, the president will meet with members of particularly vulnerable tribal tribes at the Raj Bhavan.
She will also unveil the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya theme for 2023, ‘The Year of Positive Change,’ and lay the groundwork for the lighthouse complex at Dasabatia in Bhubaneswar, according to the official.
DCP Pratik Singh of Bhubaneswar said thorough security arrangements had been undertaken in the twin towns for the presidential visit.
Murmu’s visit to Odisha will be his third after assuming the country’s highest position on July 25, 2022.
