Finally, at the ongoing San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) in the United States, the long-awaited glimpse of Project-K has been released amid considerable fanfare. Along with a sneak peek, the filmmakers revealed the final title of the film, Kalki 2898AD, which replaces the working title of Project K. The trailer was released at an event titled ‘This is Project K: First Glimpse of India’s Mytho-Sci-Fi Epic’ by actors Prabhas and Kamal Haasan. Project K is a multilingual sci-fi film directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies.
Taking to Instagram, actor Prabhas shared the first glimpse which he captioned, “PROJECT -K is now #Kalki2898AD Here’s a small glimpse into our world.”

The film stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani, and Kamal Haasan in the lead roles.
“When the World is taken over by Darkness, a Hero Rises,” the video states. The peek of Kalki 2898AD depicts a war-torn future planet in which humans appear to be dominated by dark powers and technology and are treated viciously and cruelly by the oppressor. “When the world is taken over by darkness, a force will arise,” the video says. “The end has arrived.” Deepika’s character is depicted in the trailer as a recruit in the army who appears to be in emotional struggle, whilst Prabhas’ character is seen as a valiant warrior who rises to the occasion to rescue his world.
‘Kalki 2898 AD,’ directed by Nag Ashwin, aims to bring fans to a world never seen before in Indian cinema. Set in the distant future of 2898 AD, the film’s premise flawlessly integrates futuristic aspects with rich storytelling, providing an unprecedented and immersive cinematic experience.
The one-minute and sixteen-second trailer showed a future planet and a few glimpses of Deepika, Prabhas, and Amitabh Bachchan.
Fans swarmed the comment area with red hearts and fire emoticons shortly after the makers revealed the first sight.
