Puri Srimandir will be packed with devotees as the New Year approaches in 2025. Puri’s preparations for welcoming visitors have reached their final stage. The Puri police have announced New Year rules.
From Srimandir to Mahodadhi, Badadanda to hotel, every location is projected to have a large number of tourists as the year 2024 comes to a close. Puri SP Binit Agarwal stated that the police force has strengthened security measures to ensure peace and order in the city.
A total of 60 police platoons will be deployed to manage traffic and prevent any unpleasant incidents. The CCTVs will be monitored. Traffic restrictions will be imposed to ensure devotees’ safety and a disciplined darshan.
To prevent deaths and accidents on Puri’s beach, lifeguards will be deployed. From December 31 to January 3, 2025, these rules will be followed.
Two-wheelers must travel down Grand Road via Atharnala, Banamber Chhak, Kumbharapada Police Station, and Hospital Chhak before parking in the Municipality Market Complex parking space on a first-come, first-served basis.
After the Municipality Market complex parking lot is full, M/Cs will be diverted to the designated locations on the eastern side of Grand Road from Market Chhak to the Hospital crossing.
