Today, on Thursday, the Holy Trinity of Puri Shree Jagannath Temple will give devotees darshan in their golden garb in their respective chariots outside the Singhadwara (Lions’ Gate).
Lord Jagannath and His siblings, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, who arrived at the Singhadwara of Srimandir on Wednesday evening from Sri Gundicha temple, will be decked with gold decorations on their separate chariots on Thursday as part of the Suna Besha rite.
The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has issued the rites and schedules for the Lord’s Suna Besha.

It is worth noting that the deities of the Srimandir dress in Suna Besha clothing five times a year. While the goddesses give devotees darshan in Suna Besha four times a year in the sanctuary sanctorum of the Jagannath Temple, the ritual is performed once a year on the chariots outside the Singha Dwara at the end of the Bahuda Yatra.
