After two days of intermittent rain, the weather will shift starting today as the depression over the Bay of Bengal weakens into a clearly defined low pressure.
“The depression over the westcentral Bay of Bengal drifted east-northeast, weakening into a well-defined low pressure area over the same region. The well-marked low-pressure area is expected to remain over the region for the next 24 hours before progressively weakening over the sea,” according to the IMD.
On December 22, little rain is expected in Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri. The IMD predicts dense fog in one or two locations over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, and Koraput.
On Sunday morning, cloudy weather prevailed in numerous sections of coastal Odisha, including the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
