The Mumbai Police has arrested the distribution head of Republic TV for the alleged TRP (Tv Rating Point) scam.
Republic TV’s distribution head Ghanshyam Singh was arrested on Tuesday in reference to the alleged TRP (Tv Rating Point) rigging scam, a Mumbai crime department official stated.
Singh, who can be Assistant Vice President of the Republic Media Network, was picked up from his residence around 7.40 am, the official stated.
The latest arrest has taken the variety of people held by the Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) of the crime department within the case to 12.
Singh was earlier questioned on a number of events by the CIU, the official stated.
The fake TRP scam got here to light final month when ratings agency Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) filed a grievance by Hansa Analysis Group, alleging that certain tv channels had been rigging TRP numbers.
Hansa is certainly one of BARC’s distributors on engagement with panel properties or folks’s meters.
