Royal Enfield has raised the prices of several of its popular models, including the Classic 350 retro roadster and the 650cc twins. These models have only become marginally more expensive.
The Classic 350 was launched in September of last year with a starting price of Rs.1.84 lakh. The bike later received a price increase, raising the starting price to ₹1.87 lakh, and with the latest price increase, the entry-level Redditch version now starts at ₹1.90 lakh. The top-of-the-line variant now costs ₹2.21 lakh, nearly ₹6,000 more than the original launch price.
The higher-end 650 Twins, the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650, have also increased in price. The most recent increase is just under ₹3,000 (for entry-level variants), but higher-level variants are now up to ₹5,000 more expensive. The Royal Enfield Interceptor now costs between ₹2.88 lakh and ₹3.15 lakh, while the Continental GT 650 costs between ₹3.06 lakh and ₹3.32 lakh.
Aside from the recent price increase, no other changes have been made to the bike.
While the company has not provided an official reason for the latest price increase, it is most likely to offset higher input costs as well as a semiconductor shortage, which has also significantly impacted input costs. The Meteor 350 and Himlayan bikes’ features have recently been updated as well. On these bikes, the Tripper navigation pod is now only available as an optional accessory.
