Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Launched In India; Prices Start At ₹ 2.39 Lakh

The Guerrilla has a vintage roadster style, complete with a round LED headlamp, a tear-drop shaped fuel tank, little bodywork, a low seat, and a comfortable riding position. The objective is to provide a fun motorbike that can be used as the only motorcycle in the garage and ridden on a regular basis.

Engine & Specifications

The Guerrilla 450 features the same 452 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 39.47 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque output of 40 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The engine is connected to a 6-speed transmission with a slip and assist clutch. Additionally, there is a ride-by-wire option available

Chassis & Cycle Parts

The motorcycle has a steel tube frame with the engine as a stressed member. The Guerrilla features a 43 mm telescopic fork with 140 mm of travel up front and a linkage-type monoshock with 150 mm of travel in the rear. The bike has alloy wheels on both ends, a 120/70-17 up front and a 160/60-17 at the back. Braking is handled by a 310 mm disc up front with a dual piston calliper and a 270 mm disc in the back. The motorcycle weighs 185 kg (kerb weight), has 169 mm of ground clearance, and an accessible seat height of 780 mm. This means that the motorcycle should be rather straightforward to handle in urban settings.

Features

In terms of equipment, the top two varieties share the same 4-inch circular TFT screen with Google Maps and media controls. Then, there’s full LED lighting and a USB Type C charging port. The base variation features a digi-analogue instrument console similar to those found on RE’s 650 cc bikes, as well as the optional Tripper navigation pod.

Bookings for the motorcycle begins, and deliveries begin in August 2024. It will compete against established models such as the Triumph Speed 400, Hero Mavrick 440, Harley-Davidson X440, Bajaj Dominar, Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z, and even the KTM 390 Duke.
