The Super Meteor 650, Royal Enfield’s flagship motorcycle, made its global debut at EICMA 2022. It was first shown in India at the company’s Rider Mania event in November of last year, and it is now set to hit the market soon. Prices for the all-new Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 will be announced on January 16, 2023.
Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650: Engine and gearbox
The RE Super Meteor 650 is powered by a 650cc parallel-twin, air & oil-cooled motor with 47 bhp and 52 Nm of peak torque and a 6-speed gearbox. This is the same engine that powers the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. However, it may be slightly re-tuned to match the cruiser characteristics of Super Meteor.
Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650: Hardware and features
The flagship Royal Enfield gets 43mm USD front forks and a monoshock absorber at the rear. This cruiser motorcycle has disc brakes on both ends, as well as dual-channel ABS. It comes with a twin-pod instrument cluster and the company’s tech-laden Tripper navigation system.
Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650: Expected price and rivals
The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is expected to cost less than Rs 3.50 lakh ex-showroom. It will be the company’s flagship motorcycle in the Indian market when it is released. In the Indian market, the Super Meteor 650 will have no direct competitors.
