Royal Enfield debuted their first electric motorcycle at the International Motorcycle and Accessories Exhibition (EICMA) in Milan, Italy. Royal Enfield has provided a preview of what is to come in the future.
Royal Enfield Electric Himalayan: What is it?
As mentioned earlier, the new adventure motorcycle is all-electric, with styling influenced by the new Himalayan 452. Despite the fact that the Indian two-wheeler business has not published the specifications and features of the electric ADV, Royal Enfield wants the electric Himalayan to be a capable off-roader, as the name suggests. The electric Himalayan, according to Royal Enfield, combines the attributes of an adventure bike with the benefits of an electric engine.
The electric Himalayan serves as a model for future Royal Enfield products. As a result, it serves as a preview of what is to come from the Royal Enfield stable. “The Electric Himalayan Testbed is much more than a design concept,” remarked Mario Alvisi, Chief Growth Officer – EV, Royal Enfield, of the project. This is our vision and a preview of what you may anticipate from us in the future. As we continue to work on different ‘electrifying’ representations of pure motorcycling, we are bringing a much larger electric mobility plan to life at Royal Enfield.”

According to sources, both Royal Enfield and Stark Future are working on the electrified platform. Last year, the former committed 50 million Euros in the Spanish firm, which will assist Royal Enfield investigate and develop electric motorcycles. The electric Himalayan, according to media reports, is based on Stark’s high-performance electric motocross, the Varg.
