Russian powers have seized a portion of Severodonetsk city, the regulatory middle of the Ukraine-controlled portion of the eastern Luhansk locale, the Common Staff of the country’s Equipped Powers said.
Meanwhile, Sergey Gaidai, head of the Luhansk territorial military organization, said on Facebook that Russia seized a few 80 per cent of Severodonetsk, reports Xinhua news agency.
Street battling within the city proceeded and Ukrainian strengths carried out counter-attacks in a few parts of Severodonetsk, Gaidai said.
Ukrainian troops captured six Russian warriors amid the fight for the key city, he added.
According to Ukrainian specialists, Russians are planning mop-up operation around Severodonetsk.
On May 30, Russian troops shelled an heavily clad vehicle emptying inhabitants of the city. French writer Frederic Leclerc-Imhoff who was too within the vehicle, surrendered to his wounds.
