Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan spoke by phone about strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The two leaders paid special attention to promoting trade and economic cooperation, including in the transportation, logistics, and energy sectors, according to a Kremlin statement issued on Wednesday.
They noted the effective joint work within the OPEC+ mechanism to ensure the stability of the global oil market, according to the statement, as quoted by the Xinhua news agency.
The presidents also discussed attempts by some Western countries to impose anti-market restrictions on the price of Russian crude oil, which they said violates global trade principles.
