Today, Samsung released the Galaxy M34 5G phone in India. Since its launch in 2019, the M-series has relied on “monster” batteries and other feature eccentricities to sell, and the Galaxy M34 is no exception.

The major highlight of this phone, as expected, is its 6,000mAh battery, which is supposed to provide up to two days of usage on a single charge.
Photography appears to be another highlight of the Galaxy M34, or so Samsung would have you believe. The M34 has a 50MP main sensor, an optically stabilized lens, and Samsung’s “nightography” smarts, which promise better low-light photography than rival phones. Samsung has also included a handful of photographic modes, such as monster shot 2.0 and fun mode to appeal to millennials which seem to be a big target audience for this phone.
On the front, there’s a 6.58-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080p resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Samsung claims the panel can reach 1,000nits, but does not specify whether HDR capability is included. The M34 has an out-of-date waterdrop notch.
Samsung has been on a roll with software recently, and the Galaxy M34 is yet another example of how far the business has progressed over the years. The M34 is promised four years of major operating system updates and five years of security updates. The phone is powered by One UI 5, which is based on Android 13. The Exynos 1280 chipset powers it.

The Samsung Galaxy M34 5G starts at Rs 16,999 for 6GB/128GB (with bank discounts) and is available for pre-order today. It will be available on Amazon and Samsung’s online and offline stores.
