Samsung has introduced two new flip devices in India. These are the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. As you can tell, one is more powerful, while the other is a scaled-down and more economical version for people looking for a foldable phone experience at a lower price. As a result, the two models differ in price by Rs 20,000.
The Flip 7 is clearly the star, with its large wide screen(s) and premier technology, including the largest battery we’ve seen on a Samsung flip phone to date.
Software-wise, the two phones are on par, which means they both get early access to Samsung’s latest One UI 8 with Android 16 and other Galaxy AI features. Here, we’ll go over everything you can anticipate from the Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE, as well as how they compare to one another.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE top features
— Like the Fold 7, the Flip 7 is also designed to be more compact than its predecessor even if the effect isn’t as significant. The Flip 7 measures 6.5mm when unfolded which is about a 0.4mm reduction in the overall footprint which is impressive because the screen size has been increased in this generation.
— The main display is now bigger at 6.9-inch (versus 6.7- on the Flip 6). The cover screen has also received a big update as it completely wraps around the cameras now to give you a more immersive 4.1-inch viewing area. The Flip 7 FE doesn’t get any of these size and visual upgrades. You can think of it as a rebadged Galaxy Z Flip 6.
— While the Flip 7 has Samsung’s newest and most powerful Exynos 2500 chip, the Flip 7 FE makes do with last year’s Exynos 2400 which was seen on the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus in some markets.
— The build materials as expected are top-tier in both phones. Samsung is using a mix of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and aluminium. Both devices are rated IP48 for dust and water resistance.
