Domestic indices staged a wise restoration in a uneven session and have been buying and selling within the positive territory within the afternoon session on Friday.
The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex, that hit a low of 43,454 on the again of sell-off in IndusInd Bank, Axis, Bank, SBI, and Reliance Industries, recovered and was quoting at 43,600 levels. On NSE, the Nifty50 was hovering around 12,800-mark.
Within the broader markets, S&P BSE MidCap index was up 0.82 per cent to trade at 16,370, whereas S&P BSE SmallCap index was at 16,150, up 0.57 per cent.
CLOSING BELL
The S&P BSE Sensex ended 282 points, or 0.65 per cent higher at 43,882 levels while NSE’s Nifty ended at 12,859, down 87 points, or 0.68 per cent.
