Stock Market Close Highlights, November 14, 2025: After spending the majority of the session in the red, benchmark indices, the Sensex and Nifty50, made a significant recovery in the final half hour, aided by solid buying in PSU Bank equities. PSU Bank index closed 1.17 percent higher.
Market sentiment rose with the NDA’s victory in the Bihar election of 2025.
Earlier in the day, the indices were under pressure due to drops in metal and IT companies, and a global sell-off triggered by a correction in AI-linked stocks lowered sentiment even further.
Nonetheless, the BSE Sensex recovered 533.46 points from the day’s low of 84,029.32, finishing 0.10 percent, or 84.11 points higher, at 84,562.78. Similarly, the Nifty50 recovered 169.25 points from the day’s low of 25,740.80 to finish 30.90 points, or 0.12% higher, at 25,910.05 levels.
On the BSE, TMCV, Eternal, and Axis Bank were the highest gainers, with Infosys, Tata Steel, and TMPV trailing behind.
On the NSE, TMCV, Eternal, and BEL were the top gainers, while Infosys, Eicher Motors, and Tata Steel were the top drags.
Broader markets, too, closed higher. The Nifty SmallCap 100 index jumped 0.38 percent, while the Nifty MidCap 100 index increased 0.08 percent.
Nifty PSU Bank was the sector’s biggest gainer, followed by Pharma and FMCG (up 0.59% and 0.57%, respectively). On the other hand, Nifty IT fell the most, down 1.03 percent.
