Stock Market Close Highlights, December 30, 2025: On Tuesday, Indian benchmark indices closed flat with a negative bias, as robust buying in PSU banks, metals, and autos was countered by selling in IT, FMCG, real estate, and pharmaceutical sectors.
The BSE Sensex closed at 84,675.08, down 20.46 points or 0.02 percent, while the NSE Nifty50 ended at 25,938.85, down 3.25 points or 0.01 percent.
Among the Sensex constituents, Eternal, Infosys, Asian Paints, UltraTech Cement, and Bajaj Finance were the top losers, while M&M, Tata Steel, Bajaj Finserv, and Axis Bank were the top winners.
In the broader markets, the Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 indices fell 0.15 and 0.28 percent, respectively.
Nifty Realty, IT, and Pharma were among the top laggards, with declines of 0.84 percent, 0.74 percent, and 0.17 percent. On the other hand, the Nifty PSU Bank, Metal, and Auto indices saw strong gains, climbing 1.69 percent, 2.03 percent, and 1.08 percent, respectively.
