Stock Market close highlights, Tuesday, June 10, 2025: Indian market benchmark indices closed flat on Tuesday, with profit-taking bank stocks, investors monitoring progress in US-China trade talks, and mixed global indications.
After touching an intraday low of 82,240.4, the Sensex closed at 82,391.72, down 53.5 points or 0.06 percent. The Nifty50 closed at 25,104.25 levels, up just 1.05 points.
In the broader markets, the Nifty Midcap100 closed flat with a bullish bias, while the Nifty Smallcap100 index increased 0.14 percent.
Sectoral indexes exhibited diverse results. The Nifty Realty was the biggest loser, down 1.14 percent, as it sold Prestige, Macrotech Developers, Anant Raj, DLF, and Brigade Enterprises. Nifty Auto, Bank, Financial Services, and Oil & Gas stocks all closed in the red.
16 of the 30 Sensex members closed lower, including Maruti Suzuki, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Finserv, and Reliance Industries. On the other hand, Tech Mahindra, Tata Motors, Infosys, HCL Tech, IndusInd Bank, Ultratech Cement, and TCS benefited.
Meanwhile, the India VIX, which measures market volatility, decreased 4.61 percent to 14.01 points.
