Stock Market Close Highlights, October 15, 2025: The Sensex and Nifty closed higher on Wednesday, boosted by global optimism and a drop in crude oil prices.
The BSE Sensex closed at 82,605.43, up 575.45 points or 0.70 percent, while the NSE Nifty50 quoted 25,323.55, up 178.05 points or 0.71 percent.
On the BSE, the top gainers were the Bajaj twins, Trent, Asian Paints, and Eternal (Zomato), while the top losers were Infosys, Tata Motors, Tech Mahindra, and Axis Bank.
Nifty Realty was the sector’s biggest gainer, up 3.04 percent, followed by Nifty PSU Bank (up 1.67 percent) and Nifty Metal (up 1%).
In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap 100 and SmallCap 100 closed up 1.11 percent and 0.82 percent, respectively.
