Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: Today the domestic equity markets finished lower , as headline indices surrendered all gains in the final hour of trading.
The S&P BSE Sensex finished 105.82 points, or 0.19 percent lower, at 54,364 points, while the NSE Nifty 50 index finished 61.80 points, or 0.38 percent lower, at 16,240 points.
The Bank Nifty outperformed, finishing 0.60 percent higher, while the India VIX remained above 22.
Today, Tata Steel was the worst-performing Sensex stock, falling 7.22 percent, followed by Sun Pharma and NTPC. Hindustan Unilever was the biggest gainer, up 3%. Other winners included Asian Paints, IndusInd Bank, and Ultratech Cement.
