Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices Highlights: The benchmark equity indices ended Tuesday’s trading session in the negative territory. The NSE Nifty 50 dropped 208 points, or 0.85%, to 24,139, while the BSE Sensex fell 692.89 points, or 0.87%, to 78,956.03. The broader indices finished down, with large-cap and mid-cap equities leading the way. The Bank Nifty index fell 746.10 points, or 1.48%, to conclude at 49,831.85. Financial services and banking stocks fell more than 1% among the other sectors indices, while auto and real estate stocks fell.

The NSE Nifty 50 dropped 208 points or 0.85% to settle at 24,139, while the BSE Sensex plunged 692.89 points or 0.87% to 78,956.03.
Titan Company, Apollo Hospitals, Dr Reddy’s Lab, Tata Consumer Products, and HCL Tech are the top gainers on NSE Nifty 5o index whereas the top laggards include BPCL, HDFC Bank, Shriram Finance, HDFC Life Insurance, and Tata Motors.
Several major stocks reached their 52-week highs on the NSE today. Western India Plywoods led the gains with a 20% increase, followed by Dynacons Systems, which surged 17.94%. Inox Wind saw a rise of 6.78%, while Fortis advanced by 5.19%. Suzlon rose by 2.90%, TVS Motor gained 2.28%, and Federal Bank was up by 1.72%.
The NSE Nifty 50 was down 62.35 points or 0.26% at 24,284.65, while the BSE Sensex was down 227 points or 0.28% at 79,422.35.
The NSE Nifty 50 opens down by just 4.65 points or 0.02% at 24,342.10, while the BSE Sensex falls 96.41 points or 0.12% to 79,552.51 in the opening trade.
The US Dollar Index (DXY), which measures the dollar’s value against a basket of six foreign currencies, was trading up 0.07% at 103.15 on Tuesday morning.
US markets closed on a mixed note on Monday as investors await key inflation data from the US, to recognise the economy’s health. The broader market index, the S&P 500, closed flat at 5,344.39. Similarly, the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite advanced 0.21% to settle at 16,780.61. The Dow Jones Industrial Average pulled back 140 points, or 0.36%, to end at 39,357.01.
