Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices Highlights: The benchmark equity indices ended Friday’s trading session in the positive territory. The NSE Nifty 50 dropped 37.10 points, or 0.14%, to 26,178.95, while the BSE Sensex declined 264.27 points, or 0.31%, to 85,571.85. The broader indices finished mixed, with Small-cap and Mid-cap stocks gaining and falling. The Bank Nifty index closed down 541.05 points, or 1%, at 53,834.30. Pharmaceutical and energy companies outperformed the other sectors indices, while media and real estate stocks fell.

The NSE Nifty 50 fell 37.10 points or 0.14% to settle at 26,178.95, while the BSE Sensex dropped 264.27 points or 0.31% to 85,571.85.
On September 27, 2024, stocks on the BSE saw an advance with 1,972 stocks gaining, while 1,938 declined, and 126 remained unchanged. A total of 4,036 stocks were traded during the session. Notably, 278 stocks recorded a 52-week high, whereas 33 hit a 52-week low. Additionally, 323 stocks were trading in the upper circuit, while 238 were in the lower circuit.
At 3: 157pm, the top gainers on the NSE were BPCL, leading with a 6.32% surge, followed by Cipla (2.82%), Sun Pharma (2.77%), Hindalco (1.82%), and Reliance (1.80%). On the other hand, the top losers included Power Grid, down by 3.16%, Bharti Airtel (-2.47%), Kotak Mahindra Bank (-1.76%), Hero MotoCorp (-1.65%), and ICICI Bank (-1.63%).
The Nifty 50 was up 0.05% at 26,228 while the Sensex was down 0.08% at 85,767.35.
The NSE Nifty 50 opens up by 32.20 points or 0.12% at 26,248.25, while the BSE Sensex jumps 57.73 points or 0.07% to 85,893.84 in the opening trade.
